Sarracenia (North American pitcher plant)- These magnificent plants will grow inside, however they really excel around a bog, pond, pool, or even in landscape settings. They do best when constantly moist in peat/perlite substrate and the more sun the better.  These unique plants when given the opportunity will consume enormous amounts of insects, lured into their pitchers and digested in the enzymatic broth at the bottom. These amazing plants come in an array of unreal shapes, sizes, and colors. They form rhizomes and create bigger and bigger clumps when grown correctly. These rhizomes can be separated and planted for more clumps in the future. These plants do require winter dormancy. This is a beautiful addition to any rare CP collection. Thanks, good growing, Chuck! |
